Falux

‘Falux’ desk lamp, designed by Luís Pérez De La Oliva and Pedro García Martín, and produced in 1964 by Fase, the year the company was founded in Madrid. Its production continued successfully throughout the 1970s.

It has a swivel base, a walnut wood structure, a chrome metal arm and a flying saucer-shaped (UFO) shade made of lacquered metal and glass. Thanks to a ball joint system located at the junction with the arm, the screen can rotate 360º on its own axis. This same ball joint allows to tilt the screen up, down or sideways to adjust the lighting angle to suit your needs. These movements are in addition to the lamp’s swivel base, which also allows  360° rotation, thus offering total freedom of movement. The on/off switch is integrated into the base.

All of its pieces are original. The lamp is in very good condition. No dents and all joints working as new. It has some minimal marks on the lacquer.

It is an iconic mid-century piece.
