Hydra lamp in a three-head version designed by French artist Pierre Folie and produced by Jacques Charpentier in 1969
This Hydra version features three flexible, snake-like arms with a chrome finish, topped with adjustable eye-ball shades, which allow the light to be directed as required offering a range of lighting options.
The three arms are fixed to a very heavy base.
Its name alludes to the mythological multi-headed monster. The design is Space Age-style lines, typical of the 1970s.
The lamp is in very good condition except for minimal signs in one of the shades.
